I have been doing work experience at the Anna Miles Gallery. It involved setting up the exhibition Limbo Land opening Wednesday 23 April. The show is a group show, featuring a number of different makers from different disciplines that Anna Mile represents in her gallery.
My first blog post. I am using this blog to communicate my intentions towards making stuff and the conversations that I am interested in surrounding the making of this stuff.
I am thinking about the term white noise at the moment, and how to convey the formal qualities of it. White noise is made up of all sounds at the same frequency, well this is my understanding. (Will update soon with a more comprehensive defintion).
At the moment in my studio practice I am exploring the process of frottage, a way for me to record surfaces and objects. Along side this I am using a hydraulic press to impress objects into paper and metal. Both of these processes are repeated again and again. Repetition of the same process investigates frequency one of the formal qualites of white noise.
